Celebrate HNU’s 150th and stay healthy this year–accept the Run HNU 150 challenge! Run HNU 150 is a fitness challenge to run or walk 150 miles to celebrate HNU’s 150 years in Oakland. All miles completed between convocation (September 19, 2018) and commencement (May 10, 2019) count towards your goal.
Are you up for the challenge? We are offering multiple registration options:
- – Free registration includes a progress tracker, motivational emails throughout the year, and an invite to our Run HNU 150 club on Strava.
- – $15.00 registration includes the benefits of a free registration PLUS one special edition HNU 150th t-shirt and a commemorative finisher’s medal.
All alums, staff, faculty, students, community members, and friends are invited to participate.

How do I submit my miles? How will you know that I have completed my miles?
We work on the honor system. We will provide you with a paper tracker that will make it easy for you to track your mileage.
Registrants are encouraged to join Run HNU 150 club on Strava (a free downloadable app) where you can share your progress, schedule group runs, encourage other runners/walkers and stay motivated throughout the year.
I am not a runner, can I walk? Do the steps on campus count?

Are t-shirts and finishers medals available for this event?
Yes, we are offering a registration option that includes a t-shirt and finishers medal.
How do I get my t-shirt and medal?
T-shirts and medals are available for pick up on campus only. T-shirts will be available for pick up on campus after you register. Finishers medals will be available for pick up the week of commencement. Details will be emailed to you.
